  Our Family Christmas : 2021   Decking the Halls:   We put the tree up Tuesday Nov. 24th. It was an evening time after school. We just couldn't wait any longer. It was so fun to unpack all our family christmas stuff. It was all on a container ship last year and we had the bare minimum so it was a joy to go all out and have a tree full of memories and family. We hung the stockings under the bay window, hung snowflake window stickers in the front. The manger scene went in the dining room and we hung our wreath in our entrance way door. Oh and I bought a new welcome mat that says Merry Christmas!  Our Christmas Favorites:  Ornament(s): we got new, hand crocheted ones from our neighbors, Jan & Teri.  Decorations: the tree itself is our fav! October. I've always loved the month of October. The changing seasons, the lovely colors, the smells, the anticipation of holidays that are around the corner. This year ... it did not disappoint. We enjoyed watching the world around us change from green to wonderful oranges, yellows and reds. We took walks, went trick or treating for Halloween, played games, enjoyed a school break, visited a priory, and learned more about our community and what it looks and does in the autumn.  trick or treating with friends  the kids made the dog a crown for Halloween  a new walking path went right thru an epic forest  pretending to fly on their broom  the kid loves cooking and made us a nice soup for supper one evening!  it was a big hit!  and this man, he likes to bake.  This month was the beginning of a new season. While the younger two continued homeschooling, the older two boys began at one of our local primary schools. There were a lot of nerves and some hesitation, but after a week of it, they both found their feet and really have enjoyed learning along with new friends and teachers. September is kinda like a new year here in the UK - everyone's schedules begin again after a 6 weeks break, so it's a way to begin fresh. A lot started back up, somethings for the first time since Covid hit! So we are back to enjoying life at, almost, the same speed as 2019. Worship team is back in full swing, the kids' evening groups began back, and after school clubs are still getting going, but are slowly begin added to our calendar. But we have set out to be purposeful when adding to our calendar and have guarded our family night, our ministry nights in our neighborhood and our Sabbaths.
