{Things to Know}

Image
Well, here it is nearly the end of October. Man, time is flying.  To begin, we will have plenty of new pics to post in due time. Our amazing photographer, got some sweet shots of our family being silly and stubborn a few weeks ago. But I sure do love them. They are us.  Before we go too far though, I wanna update and review.  We are fundraising for England and are making progress! It fluctuates from fun and easy to hard and tiresome quickly, but watching God move is always an enjoyment. We are very grateful for the partners we have and that as of right now, we are at 15% of our monthly budget!!! Woot!  In the coming weeks and probably for the next month, we won't be doing a ton of meetings and phone calls because we will be moving.  I know what y'all are thinking... AGAIN? To make a long story short, we have been with a church plant since we moved back to Michigan 4 years ago. That church just turned a YEAR old this past September!!! So amazin...

{Weak}

Image
"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness ." Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong ." 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 It's been a hard couple of weeks. Croup, an allergic reaction, a UTI, an urgent care visit for my hubby, cancelled or rescheduled fundraising appointments, on top of the normal, every day life of a homeschool family with 4 kids and a puppy. I've lost a few socks and a shoe to the dog and his obsessive chewing, I forgot to pack a very special friend for show & tell today - resulting in quit the tears at preschool (and for momma on the road with a sick sibling), soccer games & thunderstorms, keeping up on reading and math, and making sure our chickens have water each...

{Summer Wrap Up}

Image
What?!?! Summer is over? Hold on, while I step back and wipe my tears away. How come summer always flies by? We can never seem to get enough sun, sand, beach, ice cream, late night sunsets and swim time in. But man we sure did live it up and enjoy each sweet second of it! Here's a quick recap on what late July and August held for us... - we had a soft start to school in July, taking it easy and enjoying our morning times together and working here and there on math, science, writing and reading. - we celebrated NINE years of marriage!! my goodness how that time has flown. and i love daddy more then i could of fathomed and love each day we have together. - we spent a few nights out at Gull Lake and enjoyed some sweet cousin time in the water, on the boat, and in the rain - SCIENCE camp at church! It was quit a great time. Our VBS this year was all science based and it was a fun time full of experiments, goo, rockets, and snacks. I helped lead for a few nights and the boys just ...

{Wanting More}

Image
So this summer has truly kicked our butts! Holy Cow! We can't seem to get healthy. It's a real struggle and I feel like each week we add more to what we had before. Really praying for some healing and relief soon. I'm not sure how much more our little plates can handle before they tip over, more from exhaustion then anything else. But God is good. I keep on reminding myself of that. None of this is surprising to Him and He's in control. I just feel so attacked. Fundraising has gone so slow and I constantly feel behind in everything I do. BUT I can tell you what I'm SLOWLY learning thru these last 6 weeks or so ... I WANT TO BE MORE FOR YOU guys. I want to the all natural mom, who takes vitamins daily, has homegrown everything, buys organic, lets you learn by doing, and using all natural cleaners. I want to heal you by natural ways and not be at the doctors so much. I want to spend more time at the beach and less time in our home. (Ok, that's a want that's al...

[A week in review]

Image
So this last week and a half has flown by. So much has happened. It's been a whirlwind of fun, chaos, travel, and family time.  We have loved every minute of it. And as always, we have lots of photos to remember and recap the times. But never enough...
