So Much Thankfulness

Image
This year, as many years before, there's SO much to be thankful for. Seriously tho, the list goes on forever. God blesses us so much every year and sometimes I think we take that for granted. His mercy and grace alone are enough to make Thanksgiving day full of overwhelming hearts and thankful spirits ... but He blesses us with SO much more. It's incredible. Not only does God forgive me and rescue me daily from my sins, He gives me a beautiful little family that loves me for me. A husband that is devoted and dedicated. A very cute little guy (that's you Milo Man!) that loves his mommy dearly and makes life so much more adventurous. Another cute guy that will be arriving oh so soon (hopefully). And parents that still take care of me, even when i least expect it.  These are just a few of the wonderful things that I am thankful for this year.  My salvation in Christ has taken on a new meaning in the past year; helping me to realize there's not much more in life that ...

Dad is back and with exciting news and prospects! As you know we've been praying about the trip he made and for the internship and ministry opportunities it held. We wanted some clarity on some questions and wanted to see if it was a good fit for our family. After lots of prayer (both from us and all our wonderful family and friends!) and Dad's super fun trip down south a few wkends ago, we can safely and clearly say “ This is it! “. We are SO excited to see how God can and will use our family as we take on this year long internship with Providence Church. We will be starting up a middle school youth group, helping with their Life Groups (small bible study groups), and Dad will be taking a bible class with the church's men's leadership team. So thrilling to have some answers. There's still a lot up in the air yet, but to know this is where we are going and what we are doing; that is exciting stuff!! :) Our tentative plan (since all this just ...

Thank You Uncle Craig

Image
I wanted to take time to give a special shout out to your Uncle Craig, who is deploying to Afghanistan today for 9 months. He is scheduled to be back late summer and we are and will keep praying for him daily. Not only him, but also for Aunt CiCi, cousins Nadia & Isaiah. What a brave uncle he is. I can't say enough how much we will all miss him, specially so close to the holiday season. I wish there was a practical way to ship EggNog half way across the world... we'd be loading him up with that! But I don't think that'll last long in the desert heat, sadly. We said our goodbyes a month back & it's been a week we've all dreaded in the family. I'm literally tearing up just typing about it. But it's the brave men & women like Uncle Craig who protect and serve this country and for that I am most thankful! We love you Uncle Craig and Thank You and all the troops heading out with you!! You will be showered with prayer daily and thou...

Milo & Mommy Time

Image
It's a Milo-Mommy weekend!! We took Daddy to the airport friday night to head down to North Carolina, so it's been you and me. We both miss daddy lots, but after talking with him today for a bit, I'm SUPER excited to have hear about everything when he gets back. Sounds like things are going well. And you liked to hear Dad's voice for a bit... this morning you were a bit upset when we went ' bye bye' and weren't going to see dad! But really so far, you've been wonderful!! A few minor hiccups but really we've had a blast!! This evening we had a dinner date in the living room, followed by lots of fun play time with tools, blocks, ' rough housing', and good conversation. I love that you can talk and communicate with me! So fun. Our cute dinner date  just doing some slight adjustments while dad is away... There are a few unpleasant news updates, okay I think ther'es only one. We are trying to determine and figu...

a little bit of this and that

I just love that you get into the holidays now! You catch on fast and have so much fun, making fun memories and new traditions. This year for Halloween, it was cold, wet, and windy, but we found a fun indoor trunk-or-treat (more tables decorated then trunks...). We didn't have to do much prepping, you were more the willing and eager to get your costume on! You loved every piece of it. And the fact that Georgie got to go with us... well that was just super awesome! Dad & I had no real plans of 'dressing up', but I found a fun (do-able) costume for myself. So I joined in the fun of the night too. Once there, you caught on all too fast that if you held up your pumpkin bucket, you got hand fulls of candy. AMAZING! You loved it. Altho, there were a few times where we had to keep you from dipping your hand into the buckets that were being handed out... haha Overall you had a blast. You specially loved that at the end of the road, it led to a gym fi...
