{Active August}

August was a blast! We filled it full of fun, adventures, school, animals, new routines, and plenty of good food! We love spending our free time out front visiting with our neighbors and had a blast during our neighborhood ice cream social... hosted at our sweet new picnic table!!! M learned how to mow the yard, T is learning to read more and more weeks each week, and as a family we made it past the 25% mark in fundraising!!! Praise God! Our big prayer now is to be over the 30% mark by our MI trip in 3 weeks. God is GOOD and BIG and we have faith in His timing!! We are looking forward to fall and cooler temperatures... August was a HOT and muggy one. I, personally, can not wait to wear jeans, long sleeves, and hoodies again. I've been told we still have another month till those clothes come out tho... ha! But for now, we are enjoying the start of football season, apple cider, and praying for a BIG month in fundraising!! #teamteaonthetees  The best blanket time E had was when h...

{Two Books that Changed My Summer}

I LOVE hospitality. I love having people in and around my home. Whether it's cooking dinner for a big family or a having coffee and biscuits with a friend. Big or small I love opening up our home and lives for others to come into. However, about a year or so ago, I began to withdraw. I knew our time for moving again was coming. I knew we were leaving a place of security again. I knew that for the next few years my address and movements weren't always going to be according to MY plan but HIS. I grew a bit weary, anxious, and honestly fearful of what each day held. Anxiety became a norm. From panic attacks to mind games. I slowly began to unravel. By the time we moved across the country to our new home I was a mess of emotions and mentally unstable. There was little joy in what I did. I searched high and low for some but usually ended up in the same spiral of panic every week. I was lonely for one. Moving in December so close to my favorite family holiday was even harder then ...

{July Jubilee}

I don't know about you, but our summer has just flown by! I didn't even realize it was truly August until just a few days ago. I think is was in denial! Although Fall is one of my favorite seasons, there's something about summer freedom and fun that I don't want to let go of.  July was full of parties and late nights, bug catching, and heat waves. Here's some of my favorite moments that we captured.  {If you are interested in following our to day life on instagram, look for me at  five_little_arrows  OR you can follow our fundraising profile at  teamteaonthetees }  Little E had a very special Pooh Bear Party!  He turned 2! Altho, if you ask him he'll tell you he's 3!  Our last night with Nanny we spent playing our favorite family game, Ticket to Ride  Tea Parties with Nanny!  Smiles before tears as we left for the airport .... Goodbyes are hard we broke up the sadness with a new pool and a day of splashing ...
