It's Been a Year ...

Image
A whole year. Never thought the day would come when I would be able to think of this day and not automatically start balling. Looking back at the day when we heard that horrible “M” word and felt our world was crumbling. It will always be a tough day to remember, and a day that I will never want to relive by any means, but it's also a day I feel, I started living. Living for the right reasons. Living with purpose, because I knew just that fast, my whole life, my whole world in the here and now; my “perfect and complete” world – it could be taken and really wasn't that perfect and complete after all. See for many years I called myself a Christian, a follower of Jesus. And I truly believe I was born again – being saved at a young age. I grew up with a christian family with a very amazing church, but I feel that it stopped there. There was no growth. There was no “difference” to my living. If a complete stranger met me, other then saying “she's nice” - they w...

Well I feel as tho I cut my last post short … I was cramped for time, and working with you by my side, begging for my attention. And after working all day, I felt I needed to do just that. So I cut it a wee bit short and decided i'd get caught up later in the week. So here we are. :) We FINALLY got our passport photos taken!! it was a pretty big thing for me! I finally got to check it off the list of things to do! :) HOORAY! And I do have to add, not only were you amazing, and super cute; you were so good at listening to mommy and following directions! It was an answer to prayers. I was a bit nervous you'd have a meltdown or tantrum – but I prepped you going into it, and gave you some warning as to what was going to go down and you soared thru it!! And your photo, OH MY goodness! Your photo is just the cutest passport photo I think I've ever seen. :) Afterwards, we stopped into the post office and grabbed our applications and set up our appt. time. So ne...

To start the post off, I'll give the update on what's going on with our Mission trip and our future afterwards. :) It's pretty exciting!!! We've been connected with an awesome church in Denver, North Carolina called Providence Church . Ben Rudolph is one of the Pastors there, and yes... he is another one of Ken Rudolph's sons. So thankful, glad and blessed we got "hooked up" with them at Lake Ann this past winter. What a blessing their family has been in helping us and guiding us! (Thanks Rudolph Family!) So, our pastor, Ray Brandon, along with Ben & Rich think it'd be a great idea for us to have an internship before heading off for Germany. Now when I say before Germany, I don't mean before our mission trip, more like before we move and make it a 2 year thing. So we are looking to send Tim on a nice weekend trip to visit Ben & his church to see what we could do for them, and how it would all work out. Sounds like it'd be the per...

So for your birthday you got a few fun packs of fridge magnets that are wooden and very sturdy. One set is the alphabet and the other is numbers from 1-10 twice. It's been a fun week putting objects with their letters and numbers. And during the past few days we have made up your own alphabet … matching each letter to a certain person or thing that is special to you! So I thought I'd share it, so we could always remember it. A- apple B- bible C- cat (or you like to say “silly cat”) D- Daddy! (this is currently your favorite letter to always pick up and run around with and say!) E- elephant F- FOOD! G- Georgie (of course!) H- Hat or Home I- Ice J- Jesse, as in Uncle Jesse! You have really become clear in this one too! K- Keegan (or Keeg for you) L- Love or Leaf M- Milo and Mommy N- Nadia & Nanny O- Orange! P- Poppy or Papa Q- quiet, shhhhh. You like this one. :) R- ROAR! S- snake T- Theo or as you pronounce it “Thre...

We recently were lucky enough to get our pictures taken, together as a family. :) It was a bit touch and go before hand tho … with some flu like symptoms & 4 molars bugging you. I honestly wasn't sure if the photos would happen. But we pressed on, and just hoped for the best … knowing we could reschedule if needed. It's nice having a friend who understands how kids are, and that we all have those kind of “rough” days. (Thanks Aunt Tressa!!) We went ahead with the evening as planned, dinner (very yummy pizza), and some play time with “cousin” Mason. I knew you were tired and oh-so-very close to a complete melt down; but with the sun going down at such a fast rate, I felt it was like a ticking clock … so I decided to just go for it. Your dad thought I was nuts … and for a minute or too, so did I. But I hoped and said a few silent prayers that things would work out. And if we didn't get as many as hoped, well I was just aiming to get a good family pic of us. All four o...
