December! What a month it was. Filled the max with appts, birthday parties, crafts, baking, and lots of friend and family time! Really it was a whirlwind but such an enjoyable one that I am sad it's all over. Christmas is my favorite season and we really filled this Christmas up as much as we could!

a group of mom friends gathered our kids together and went christmas caroling at our local nursing home.
We had a delightful time and were blessed to hear the piano talent of a resident there.

| Our first annual Shepard's Dinner on Christmas Eve! We had foods that are more traditional to what the shepherd's would have had eaten ... minus the bacon and cheese and potato soup! ha! but it was delicious |

And because it was nearly 60 degrees we read and ate outside at our famous picnic table!

that he can handle and enjoy DUCK eggs. So happy omelet day as well! |

We also had the greatest priviledge to baptize T on his bday night!!

| Early in the month our amazing friends gathered round one another and threw together a spontaneous surprise bday party for a dear friend! It was so much fun and a joy to see the shock in their eyes! LOVE our sweet community of friends! |

Seriously these gals are my dearest and closest in NC!
They hear my heart, speak love and truth and encouragement, along with some pretty decent amount of sarcasm!
It's just what I LOVE. I have come to really realize what a gift it is to be THIS close to these women.
They can just drop by, we can be real with one another.
Our homes don't have to look perfect, our hair can be a mess, and our kids are usually always loud and chaotic - but this is friendship! And I am SO thankful to end the year with them and begin a NEW decade alongside these ladies and their families. |
