Well I fell behind the final few months of 2021 - but here's a quick update thru pics, as usual!
It was a fun festive few months! We enjoyed many gatherings and traditions until we were isolated due to 3 kids getting covid. We made it thru a few weeks of sickness to freedom the week before Christmas! We had a special visitor thru Christmas week, and enjoyed sharing our traditions on Christmas eve and day. Looking to the New Year now, but enjoying look thru all the fun memories we've made this past year in England!! Our first FULL year in this beautiful place.
We look forward to the many new normals now as the seasons come and go.
Here's to 2021 - it was a year of listening, learning, adjusting, and enjoying.

Mill Lane Thanksgiving
What a fun evening. We put these tents and white lights out, I made 2 big turkeys and had lots of help with sides from various friends and neighbors. It was a wonderful evening with our new community. |

Autumn Clean up!
I took old plants out, new ones in, swept and cleaned the windows on an unusually warm sunny afternoon in November. I don't even think I wore a coat! |

Ending our pizza unit with an all family pizza night!
We had all kinds of pizzas...
pepperoni, ham and pineapple, margherita
and all sorts of crust,
thin, deep dish and hand tossed. |

BONFIRE NIGHT!
What an epic night out! As a family we joined nearly everyone in town and watched what's known as the best fireworks in the north of England for Guy Fawkes Day.

Beatrix Potter unit - Peter Rabbit is a huge hit in our home now.
We enjoyed learning all about the animals, the books, and watching the movie. |

| December brought more snow! And no one complained. |
 |

While it was just Eddie downstairs for a while during our Covid lockdown,
we made the best of the time with him.
First up - Gingerbread house! |

M, T, & N all got covid within one weeks time.
We quarantined them to the one big bedroom upstairs, kept Eddie downstairs and in our room to sleep, and we all wore masks when we had to go up to help and be with the "sickies".
Luckily, no one had severe symptoms. It was uncomfortable and unpleasant for a while, but they spent their "good time" playing and watching movies together upstairs. |

I gave them some Christmas crafts to paint at the beginning of their time,
and we were so blessed with the many who kept on bringing gifts or crafts for them to do! |

E became my Christmas cookie helper!
He enjoyed helping and liked decorating the most. |

| Felt a little closer to home while using one of our favorite cookie cutters. |

Thankful that we weren't sick, and taking a nice walk in the sunshine to get out of the house for a few.
E took on the longer walk to the bridge and was so proud of himself for making it so far! |

I loved walking home in the mornings and seeing our tree and white lights shine so bright!

Her first trip out of the house and into freedom was to the urgent care for a terrible ear infection.
But hey! She was in good spirits. |

As we waited for the last kid to gain freedom, I took these two out to get some wiggles out.
We stumbled upon many fun trees thru Ropner Park. |

Altho E did not ever get covid, he struggled a good portion of December.
He fell while playing and busted his gum/lip open and had to visit urgent care, then a few days later came down with tonsilitis. He had a fever for 4 days before the medicine finally relieved it. |
