 Happy 2022!!

Beginning the New Year with great friends in nature!

creative swing set designed by N!

it's such a joy watching our kids learn and grow.
E has taken to math and quit enjoys numbers and fact families

A special treat!! We got to eat out with a group from GEM!
So bummed I didn't get more pictures,
but it's cause we were enjoying our food and time with folks.

a new little hammock spot to give us a little break away from our home

We spent a Sabbath resting with this view to the front and a mud hill to the right...
where our kids enjoyed rolling up and down and laughing in delight

there are a few places in this country that make me feel at home ...
and a lumber store is one of them!!
Just the smell brought tears to my eyes and made me want to hug my dad.
Clearly, M feels the same

gorgeous winter flowers!

taking in our nature play with apples while listening to birdies

scootering to pick up brothers ... we definitely get our daily walking/exercise in now!

we took Math outdoors!
skip counting and bubbles and fresh air!

just an afternoon of free time after our book work was done.
legos, sewing, & audiobooks

We hadn't had a taco night since Nov. 2020!
This captures the absolutely yummy night we finally had Taco Tuesday again.

Finished up another classic read aloud.
The kids LOVED this one.

I love that we can write on our epic table for school and erase it
It really makes math easier.... :)

Girls' night!
Little Women & Ice Cream

some of my favorite hills behind me. Best way to welcome the New Year

Climbing trees with neighbors - it's easier when they are big kids themselves! :)

January was our kick off to our Missional Community group!!!
We meet once a week, eat together, and worship!
It's been a pure delight and such an amazing time together.
Neighbors are even joining in and we are praying for more to join this year!

SUPER excited for this gal!
She finished the first level of her reading curriculum and is now working toward Level B!
So proud of her hard work and dedication towards learning to read.
It hasn't been easy but I am praising God for her no quit personality and determination.

I got a new set of wheels for an early bday gift!!!!
Thanks mom & dad!!
I now can ride around town for errands and food pick ups!

Sometimes when the brick walls feel like they are eating my soul alive and the darkness of the city eats away at me, I grab my hammock and a good book and spend an hour swaying and reading in the sunshine. It's AMAZING what it does for my soul and heart. Makes me happier and brings more peace. God's creation for the win!

Mud Hill Rolling!

We have a fence!!!
Folks the fence is up around the community garden
and it won't be long til the church signs the papers and get the key!

bye bye old rickety fence!
Hello future garden! :)

We also began reading the bible with one of neighbors on a weekly basis.
They come over after our kids are in bed, and we read thru a bit of scripture, talk it over, pray and catch up with one another. It's been incredible! I love how God is working!

simply gorgeous.
I can't even imagine how much more beautiful heaven will be!!
The hills around us, outside the city, are delightfully breathtaking!
