{22.FEB}

February was rough. I feel that's an understatement.
It began well enough, but it then hit like a semi-truck and left us all a bit dazed and weary.
While I was able to get away for a few days in the middle of the month for a spiritual retreat, I returned home only to test positive for covid and be put to bed for another week! And recovery has been slow. So here are some photos of the month ... and hopefully we will have more fun to post about next month!

While recovering from covid, I found joy in this view from our open window.

practicing his Poppy 'stache.

Before covid took me down,
we were able to help beginning clearing the community garden!
It was an absolute joy of a day.

The last morning of my retreat, I woke to a white canvas of beauty.

I can't explain how marvelous God is in words.
Each morning he sent me these beautifully amazing rainbows out my window.
Seriously, EVERY morning! It was like a personal love letter to me, from God.

Fills me such joy

I'd say it's one of the best places I've ever had to read and study the word.

Valentine's Dinner - we started a new tradition.
We had a fancy candlelit dinner as a family, enjoyed lasagna and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. We shared what we loved about our family and listened to old time love songs.

they were a big hit!

a morning of paint is a morning at ease

taking it all in and enjoying the clouds and grass

spring crocus!

we brought the african safari to our living room!!

I can't get over how old this kid keeps getting... but it's nights like these I will hold dear.
Making cookies with him. Chatting, laughing and joking.

it was cold.....

Litter picking for the afternoon.
Once a week, as the weather begins to turn warmer/nicer, we try to get out and pick.
