May has always been one of my favorite months. Always so full of sun, fun and warmer weather. And while England doesn't always have all the warmth, it is getting closer to summer and we tried to keep some of our favorite May traditions alive. Among our family routine, we also were so excited to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with the opening of the Mill Lane Community Garden!!!!! We planted, had a story teller, live music, food and got to know a lot of new faces and families in the area! So exciting! Here's all the other day to day moments we enjoyed in May. 


Even though the weather wasn't great, we still had a great turnout for our 
garden jubilee party! 

we've been working more and more on our house, and trying to make it feel more like home. 
And home is where the plants and bonfires live! :) 

N & I jogged/sped walked our first 5K together!!!! 
Race for Life - and I am SO proud of this girl's heart and dedication. 
She never gave up and really inspired me to push forward. 

An afternoon well spent - school outdoors. Complete with imagination, nature, and snacks.

at the beginning of the month, Stockton held a "Fast Car Saturday". 
We totally enjoyed ourselves and LOVED seeing old, fast cars! 

Found myself a nice ride...

we got to explore a few new locations this month - 
this was Fountain Abbey. 
A new fav and def a place we will be returning. 

built in the mid-1100's, 
this Abbey was breathtaking!

End of May always signals camping time for us! 
And although, we don't have a yard to camp in this season, 
we made due and cleared out our living room to have a family camp out to kick off 
term break with the kids!

Monday Tea Party Lunches are a new hit!

I've been trying to find more time in nature - and took to the paths in Stockton one Saturday.

So it was worth it. hahaha

There's No Place Like Home

This December marks the start of our 4th year in our old, cozy home. It's this time each year I begin to think of all the hard work that was put into making this old farmhouse our home. It took months of work, (mostly time of Grandpa Keith's), and lots of imagination. I remember when Daddy took me thru the first time, the place was SO dirty, run down, and in dire need of some TLC!! But the little details and charm of the place got to me and I knew we just HAD to live here!! It was perfect. I fell in love. {FIVE.2019}

PRAISE GOD!! It is with the greatest joy we announce that our family has made it to the 50% mark in our monthly fundraising goal! Praise God! With that being said, we are setting new goals and continuing on with eager anticipation as to how God will work in the coming months. We've set some goals and are praying to be at 80% by October so we can attend the month long pre-field training near Asheville, NC. Our goal is reach Stockton-on-Tees at the beginning of the new year! In other news, God has been answering prayer here in our simple way of living in our front yard! I am writing a post dedicated to how God is moving and what we are doing, but until it's all done, I'll just recap it quickly. God has been bringing folks to our yard, expanding our friends in the neighborhood and making old things new and beautiful. So Much Thankfulness

  This year, as many years before, there's SO much to be thankful for. Seriously tho, the list goes on forever. God blesses us so much every year and sometimes I think we take that for granted. His mercy and grace alone are enough to make Thanksgiving day full of overwhelming hearts and thankful spirits ... but He blesses us with SO much more. It's incredible. Not only does God forgive me and rescue me daily from my sins, He gives me a beautiful little family that loves me for me. A husband that is devoted and dedicated. A very cute little guy (that's you Milo Man!) that loves his mommy dearly and makes life so much more adventurous. Another cute guy that will be arriving oh so soon (hopefully). And parents that still take care of me, even when i least expect it.  These are just a few of the wonderful things that I am thankful for this year.  My salvation in Christ has taken on a new meaning in the past year; helping me to realize there's not much more in life that ...
