{Summer Wrap Up}
What?!?! Summer is over? Hold on, while I step back and wipe my tears away.
How come summer always flies by? We can never seem to get enough sun, sand, beach, ice cream, late night sunsets and swim time in. But man we sure did live it up and enjoy each sweet second of it!
Here's a quick recap on what late July and August held for us...
- we had a soft start to school in July, taking it easy and enjoying our morning times together and working here and there on math, science, writing and reading.
- we celebrated NINE years of marriage!! my goodness how that time has flown. and i love daddy more then i could of fathomed and love each day we have together.
- we spent a few nights out at Gull Lake and enjoyed some sweet cousin time in the water, on the boat, and in the rain
- SCIENCE camp at church! It was quit a great time. Our VBS this year was all science based and it was a fun time full of experiments, goo, rockets, and snacks. I helped lead for a few nights and the boys just enjoyed all the learning and projects.
- Carolina on our mind! <3 we spent a week in NC with our wonderful Church of Denver family, catching up with old neighbors, playing games in our tiny home, swimming in the tinted clay colored waters of Lake Norman, eating CookOut, scheduling meetings, praying, mountain climbing, rock slidding, and Wilkinson hangouts! It was a pure delight and so memorable. Every day. Half the week with the Wilkinson family and half at a tiny home at a RV resort on Lake Norman. Just terrific!
- preschool orientation and Hamilton partnership in one week. It was an exciting time for the older boys at they got to see thier classrooms, classmates, and met teachers. It was a big step for us all. But a fun one.
- my bday suprirse! Daddy planned a major surprise for my 30th bday .... He talked with me and learned that one of my bucket list things was to go to Gettysburg with Grand Poppy. And then a few weeks later, gifted me with plane tickets, a place to stay and got my grandpoppy on board with it all. I was amazed! And the trip was a BLAST. SO very memorable, for us all. :) I'll treasure that trip always. so special.
Those are just a few highlights and events. You kids seem to always be changing, growing, and learning new things. Eddie is walking more like champ, learning new words and acting much more like a big boy. Each of you have had a great summer full of achievements. Milo is reading real chapter books, solo! Theodore has learned to be more independent. Norma was potty trained and is doing just incredible with it. Seriously, this summer has rocked! So sad that's it's coming to a close.
But of course, I wouldn't leave without pictures of the fun times!
