{NINE.20}

Well time flew by this fall and I let life get away. Sorry about that. Between recovery from our summer medical mishaps and pretty much going right into packing... I let the good details slip by. A lot happened. Schafer suffered a pretty severe seizure, we had some surprise guests! And we even got our passports after months of waiting!!! Wish I would of documented it all a bit better, but for now I'll leave pics and captions of our September...Our last September in the USA for a bit.

Meet Bilbo - our toad friend
I spent a lot of my recovery reading ...
and this one is a MUST read for anyone!

Our Thursday night small group - golly gonna miss them
one on one time in the hammock!

this poor, beautiful butterfly was sick and not able to fly,
so we took advantage of the up closeness and fine detail
Someone graduated from the full leg cast to the half cast!
SO exciting to have a bit more freedom

We changed the name of the education game with this one ...
we order a set of graphic novels for this guy and reading is no longer the issue it was before!
Now, we can't get him away from his books!

This book worm is working his way through the classics!

Mid-September brought on some hard days with our pup.
He suffered a very severe seizure from his epilepsy and after a speedy trip to the vet ER,
he stayed the night and began daily medication.
It took him a few weeks to fully recover, but it made us all the more grateful for our big hairy beast!

picking this fellow up after a night away ... pure JOY to see him doing better

It took a lot of sleep and rest to fully recover,
so all of us took our turns watching over him

A quick Sunday trip to the mountains
revealed little signs of heaven and the beginning of fall!

the views were gorgeous!

Happy Together

Nothing like a good family adventure

Date Time with this guy!
We took some treats to the nature center, along with our painting supplies
and did a Bob Ross painting together.

It didn't always go as we thought it would ... but we had fun and made the
best out of our afternoon together

Break Time - Picnic at the park!

Learning about stick figures

Got the Fall Bug and starting baking pumpkin pies a bit early ...
But I don't regret a thing!

One of my favorite seasons to decorate for

Bilbo update his ride!

After months of waiting ... WE GOT OUR PASSPORTS!
England, Here we come!

Spent a special Saturday afternoon celebrating a dear friend's baptism!
What a fun day and an honor to be a part of.

One a delightfully sunny Sunday afternoon, we chose to head to Uptown Charlotte.
We spent the day sharing cider and food with the homeless and meeting this very friendly and fun
Security Guard, Tamara. It was an afternoon that had God's fingerprints all over it.
He spends a lot of time reading now!
Such a joy to see

A very fun visit from Papa and MeMaw!
We let them surprise the kiddos! And boy were they ever surprised to see their car roll on thru!

Bday Breakfast with our TEN year old!!
How is he TEN!??!!?
Great Memories !

This guys sure is growing up fast!

N lost BOTH her front two teeth!
She was so excited to show off her toothless grin.

And at the very end of the month, this kid's hard work of recovery paid off!
He graduated to a walking boot and was given more freedom to move and walk!
