 February. What a mix of sun, snow, outdoor adventures and indoor learning. I'd say adjusting to life in Stockton is going alright. We've had our days of homesickness but we are learning a new normal. Lockdown continued through February so we had did a lot of local trails and outdoor adventures. It was so nice to get out and see rolling hills and even some sheep! We've discovered that there is always another trail to follow here in England! It's a dream come true. 
We spent each week in our homeschool learning about England's history and studying nature. We learned about worms, evergreens, spring flowers, and the vernal equinox. Such fun times learning together! We are doing well with our new routine and enjoyed a full month of class time each day followed by outdoor adventure and exploration.... even in the snow and cold! 
February went quickly but it was a fun and full month of family time! 
Oh and WE GOT A NEW VAN!!!! That REALLY helped our adventure time. :) 
Thank you to the many who supported, gave and prayed for our new vehicle. It's been a HUGE blessing already!

so he could be pen pals with his cousins and friends.

There's No Place Like Home

This December marks the start of our 4th year in our old, cozy home. It's this time each year I begin to think of all the hard work that was put into making this old farmhouse our home. It took months of work, (mostly time of Grandpa Keith's), and lots of imagination. I remember when Daddy took me thru the first time, the place was SO dirty, run down, and in dire need of some TLC!! But the little details and charm of the place got to me and I knew we just HAD to live here!! It was perfect. I fell in love. {FIVE.2019}

PRAISE GOD!! It is with the greatest joy we announce that our family has made it to the 50% mark in our monthly fundraising goal! Praise God! With that being said, we are setting new goals and continuing on with eager anticipation as to how God will work in the coming months. We've set some goals and are praying to be at 80% by October so we can attend the month long pre-field training near Asheville, NC. Our goal is reach Stockton-on-Tees at the beginning of the new year! In other news, God has been answering prayer here in our simple way of living in our front yard! I am writing a post dedicated to how God is moving and what we are doing, but until it's all done, I'll just recap it quickly. God has been bringing folks to our yard, expanding our friends in the neighborhood and making old things new and beautiful. So Much Thankfulness

  This year, as many years before, there's SO much to be thankful for. Seriously tho, the list goes on forever. God blesses us so much every year and sometimes I think we take that for granted. His mercy and grace alone are enough to make Thanksgiving day full of overwhelming hearts and thankful spirits ... but He blesses us with SO much more. It's incredible. Not only does God forgive me and rescue me daily from my sins, He gives me a beautiful little family that loves me for me. A husband that is devoted and dedicated. A very cute little guy (that's you Milo Man!) that loves his mommy dearly and makes life so much more adventurous. Another cute guy that will be arriving oh so soon (hopefully). And parents that still take care of me, even when i least expect it.  These are just a few of the wonderful things that I am thankful for this year.  My salvation in Christ has taken on a new meaning in the past year; helping me to realize there's not much more in life that ...
