Raising Arrows

We are SO happy for summer to finally be here. We've played outside a lot lately and you've loved playing in the water. Along with all the play we do... you've learned to sleep and a lot. You take great naps during the day usually 3ish hours and sleep all night long now in your big boy bed!! :) It's been fantastic! And came just in time too. :) You loved to snuggle on mom and dad's bed ... and you found one day that napping with momma on her bed was pretty nice. :)  Water has become your go to toy outdoors ... well at least when it's 85 degrees and muggy. You love running thru the water and sitting in your pool. I take the hose and make a sprinkler for you and you think it's fantastic.  For Memorial day we spent the evening at Poppy & Nanny's - with Grand Poppy and Grand Nanny. You enjoyed being center of attention with some many people. :) and again enjoyed more pool/water time.  Nanny got this cool horse at a garage ....

So here's our little Christmas gift... growing ever bigger and stronger!! A healthy heartbeat and quick movements! The tiny kid was actually kinda quiet for most of the u/s - but woke up for a few minutes and showed us a few moves; and i think by the end may have had the hiccups from so much excitement. :) He/She was measuring a few days behind... but nothing too serious or worrisome. The measurements put us at around Christmas Eve, but they won't change any dates cuz it's still so close to our original. So we'll have to see what the 20 week u/s shows... both in size and gender! :)  Here's our precious baby. Isn't he/she just so cute!?!?!  This is big brother ... checking out "baby". Okay so last month we took a  nice morning and went to the park with your cousins. The goal was to get some cute shots of the three of you before Nadia moved down south. To our surprise it was a great success!!! We were thrilled with the results! :)  I took the opportunity tho to get some good 19 mo. photos of you. And you did wonderful for those too. The above photo is absolutely my all time favorite photo. It warms my heart ... and just brings a smile to my face. The other photos melt my heart too... you're just SO cute! Here we go!! Our little gift is growing strong!!! We got all good news yesterday at the early ultrasound. :) Heart was beating good and strong, coming in at 144. And baby's movement was visible and so fun to watch. Still a little early to feel, but it calmed my nerves to see such a healthy, active kiddo in there; snuggled pretty securely in momma too. Took the nurse some time to get a good photo of the baby's whole body, but she did! And we were glad. We also got a few still shots of our gift to take home. :) We went home with smiles on our faces and a thankful heart to hear such wonderful news. And in a few more weeks we have another ultrasound at the hospital for the  midwife. Hello Sunshine!!! We are SO excited to welcome the warm weather and really hope it stinks around. The mornings start off cool and it gets nice and toasty by lunch time ... this weekend was actually hot from start to finish. The sun was out ALL day with not many clouds in the sky. It was beautiful! We took advantage of the day after nap time and spent the day outside playing with all the new toys that were given to us!! That's right, we got a load of Little Tikes Toys dropped off at our place Saturday from some distant family members and you were THRILLED and could not wait to try them out!! Dad & I took time while you were napping yesterday to hose them all off and clean 'em off real good so we could enjoy them. :) And enjoy them you did!! (well still am haha) We also took advantage of the HOT weather to break out your pool. It's not huge but enough to cool you down and let you splash BIG!! :) You LOVED it. It was cold hose water - and you kept squatting down in it...

Well I feel like I should catch up on our lives... I know it hasn't been all that long since my last blog, but there have been a few changes and fun times I want to make sure we remember! :) To start off, we've had to start you back on "patch time" for a 2 weeks period; 2 hours a day. And you were not a big fan of it. not. at. all. It was a hard battle at first, but with the helpful creativity of Nanny, you got to do "patch time" with Georgie! It's been a HUGE help. And you know you can't take your patch off till we say Georgie's comes off. You like to be able to put his on first and you love to take his off. We have about a half a week left, and we've seen a bit of an improvement of your lazy eye "drifting" at night, but you're still struggling. So we'll see what Monday brings... I think we may have to keep the patching up for some time, but we'll see. A few weekends ago, you had the joy of watching your fir...
