snow fall

Ah, it's days like these that make me wonder what i have done to be so incredibly blessed. I seriously don't deserve all I have, and thank the Lord daily for letting me be a mommy to you. That is top of my list... the BEST thing. And i won't be able to do such an amazing job, without an amazing man behind the scenes, taking care of the bigger stuff. We both knew that when we had kids, we both wanted me to stay home - and be a mommy to them. Little did we know just how fantastic of a job it is but how faithful we have to be. There are times i wonder why and think i can have both world. When in reality, there's only one job that truly matters and counts. Being your mom and being home with you every day truly reaps it's rewards. I've seen you grow right before my eyes. And i swear there are days you literally grow while you are napping and wake up and inch longer! :) But to be able to watch you develop into a little man, who laughs, talks, walks, runs, explores, gets into trouble at times, cuddles, loves, enjoys life - well that's just beautiful.
Today has been one of those days. Watching you playing and interact. Watching your lil' mind at work; makes me wonder from time to time what goes on up there in your head. My favorite thing :: when you pause whatever you are playing with or doing and run over to me, wrap your arms around me and give me a squeeze. It's truly the bestest! :) And i LOVE it. You also give wonderful kisses too ... haven't quit figured out completely and still kiss with a semi-open mouth. Melts my heart!!
So thank you for the blessing of being YOU! and Thank you for your conditional love. We love you SO much Milo Man.

There's No Place Like Home

This December marks the start of our 4th year in our old, cozy home. It's this time each year I begin to think of all the hard work that was put into making this old farmhouse our home. It took months of work, (mostly time of Grandpa Keith's), and lots of imagination. I remember when Daddy took me thru the first time, the place was SO dirty, run down, and in dire need of some TLC!! But the little details and charm of the place got to me and I knew we just HAD to live here!! It was perfect. I fell in love. {FIVE.2019}

PRAISE GOD!! It is with the greatest joy we announce that our family has made it to the 50% mark in our monthly fundraising goal! Praise God! With that being said, we are setting new goals and continuing on with eager anticipation as to how God will work in the coming months. We've set some goals and are praying to be at 80% by October so we can attend the month long pre-field training near Asheville, NC. Our goal is reach Stockton-on-Tees at the beginning of the new year! In other news, God has been answering prayer here in our simple way of living in our front yard! I am writing a post dedicated to how God is moving and what we are doing, but until it's all done, I'll just recap it quickly. God has been bringing folks to our yard, expanding our friends in the neighborhood and making old things new and beautiful. So Much Thankfulness

  This year, as many years before, there's SO much to be thankful for. Seriously tho, the list goes on forever. God blesses us so much every year and sometimes I think we take that for granted. His mercy and grace alone are enough to make Thanksgiving day full of overwhelming hearts and thankful spirits ... but He blesses us with SO much more. It's incredible. Not only does God forgive me and rescue me daily from my sins, He gives me a beautiful little family that loves me for me. A husband that is devoted and dedicated. A very cute little guy (that's you Milo Man!) that loves his mommy dearly and makes life so much more adventurous. Another cute guy that will be arriving oh so soon (hopefully). And parents that still take care of me, even when i least expect it.  These are just a few of the wonderful things that I am thankful for this year.  My salvation in Christ has taken on a new meaning in the past year; helping me to realize there's not much more in life that ...
