A Precious Gift from God

And then there were FOUR! Just one day after my last post we found out our family will be expanding in late December! :) And we couldn't be more thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Our Precious Christmas Gift from God*
That's the nickname till we find out in July what we are having. We've decided to share with family and close friends - and ask for prayer. Prayer for a healthy pregnancy, healthy and growing baby, and calmed nerves, especially till we get over that 10-12 week hump. Needless to say tho, we are so happy and excited. Even you, Milo Man, got in on the excitement. Running around and giggling every time we said "Baby". And still do giggle when we say it now. :) I keep telling you about your "baby sibling" growing inside me and you point to my belly button and go "SHHHhhhh" with your pointer finger to your mouth. So cute. You've learned that from being with other babies at Nanny's house and having to be quiet when they sleep. :) Well at least you caught on! And will be good at "shhhhing" when this new gift gets here! 

We found out Tuesday night (April 17th) after Uncle Steve's bday party. I was late and felt as tho it could be true so we stopped at the store on the way home and confirmed it for ourselves! I kinda yelled it loudly that you were going to be a big brother after i took the test and two little lines appeared. I was just so excited to get a positive result!! :) And you seemed happy for your momma too. 
 We spent the next few hours telling family and asking for prayer.

 The next day, I let you sport your "big brother" shirt and was so thrilled it still fit you. You weren't too sure why Momma was so excited to see you in it. :)

So lately we've eaten a lot of pasta. It's what sounds the yummiest and is kinda easy to make when I'm lacking energy to cook an extravagant meal. 

We haven't shared the news on the World Wide Web yet... we wanted to wait till our first u/s or at least till we got it confirmed and saw a nurse/midwife. That's looking like it'll be around 12 weeks ... unless we can get an earlier u/s at a pregnancy center near by. (which I'm REALLY hoping to do!) But until then we've shared with our church family and our actually family and some close friends. All of which I know will be praying for us and this precious new miracle of life!! And whenever I start to get nervous or have anxious thoughts I stop myself and say my prayers for this child. Night seems to be when those nasty thoughts start to creep in and all those "what ifs" - so your dad and I do a lot of praying before bed. :) 

I've saved this post for a few days and came back to update it a bit... we have an early ultrasound appt. on May 24th (about four weeks from now). We are a bit nervous but so excited to get to sneak a peek of this precious gift!! And have toyed with the idea of bringing you with ... so you can officially meet your new sibling. :) But we'll see if you're ready. And our first midwife appt. is at our 12 week mark ... on June 13th! We just are so thrilled!! God is working marvelous things for our family ... I can feel it! :)

This December marks the start of our 4th year in our old, cozy home. It's this time each year I begin to think of all the hard work that was put into making this old farmhouse our home. It took months of work, (mostly time of Grandpa Keith's), and lots of imagination. I remember when Daddy took me thru the first time, the place was SO dirty, run down, and in dire need of some TLC!! {FIVE.2019}

PRAISE GOD!! It is with the greatest joy we announce that our family has made it to the 50% mark in our monthly fundraising goal! Praise God! With that being said, we are setting new goals and continuing on with eager anticipation as to how God will work in the coming months. We've set some goals and are praying to be at 80% by October so we can attend the month long pre-field training near Asheville, NC. Our goal is reach Stockton-on-Tees at the beginning of the new year! In other news, God has been answering prayer here in our simple way of living in our front yard! I am writing a post dedicated to how God is moving and what we are doing, but until it's all done, I'll just recap it quickly. God has been bringing folks to our yard, expanding our friends in the neighborhood and making old things new and beautiful. {Monthly Minutes}

Sunday morning, watching The Pond before church  Well we finally have some form of internet out here in the boondocks. ha! Hopefully that means more posts... but I wouldn't hold your breath. So until I get better at this blogging things and keeping things up to date, here's a little recap and some fun highlights of where life is now. (and of course there's tons of pics at the end and thru it, because, well, i'm much better at capturing life then writing about it! ha!) First, Highlights! -Eddie is a cruising baby now. Dude, you are amazing at pulling up on just about anything and have only taken a few little falls. Determined to get to where you want, there's not much that keeps you still now, except food! You love food. Recently learned how delicious Ritz crackers are and watermelon. Bananas are still a fav though along with any fruit really. -We began fundraising!!!! WOOHOO!
