Milo Words (& other tid bits)

You got new glasses!! and I haven't quit gotten use to them yet. They're not a big change, just the shape ... they are rectangular and make you look like 3 years older. Seriously, you look like you're ready for school! It's amazing the change on you … you look so adorable still tho, as always. :)

We have our christmas things up … I didn't put a whole lot up this year. Our tree, some white lights, a few random decorations here and there, but most of it is in our living room. Oh and of course our nativity. :) We had a rough start to our decorating day and it ended up for both our sacks that I did most of the decorating with Nanny while you napped. But the look on your face when you saw all the white lights and pretty tree, that was priceless. And I love that you ask for the “pretty tree” when we get home from places. And you LOVE seeing the outside lights when we are traveling at night. We took you down to Plainwell's Tree Lightening this past friday night & you were amazed. You loved the light up frogs, train, horses, and of course the big ol' lite up tree. :)

You're little brain is catching on fast and it is truly a joy to see you learning on to count, use new words and just enjoy life as a 2 year old. :) You love your time with Poppy, wrestling and bring “rough”. Tackling Daddy and playing “tent” under his legs. Helping Momma in the kitchen, making dinner or sweets … or your favorite, anything with chocolate chips. :) And you've really gotten good at counting to ten. Usually only need help with one or two of the numbers. Impressive. You also love to jump with your friends … recently with Nadia or Jordan. And playing “rough” with Keegan. Then there's always the fall back favorite with your cousins, running in circles! Always something fun to do with you! And you still LOVE your tractors. Anything that has wheels actually. Firetrucks, tractors, cars, trains. You've recently just discovered the joy of “Bob the Builder” & “Thomas the Train”. Pretty basic boy things. You also love the movie “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” … you call it the “food movie”.

Your structured sentences are becoming more understandable and coherent. With pleases, thank yous, & may i's. Some of your other favorite words …
tuck and roll – crash & burn – football – bible - chocolate milk – Baby Theo (or “Freeo” as you've know made it) – apples – thomas the train – McQueen (for Lightening McQueen of course!) - firetruck (& Poppy's firetruck) – build tall (for playing with legos/blocks with Daddy) – Georgie (of course!!!) - DiggerDigger – tackle – Bob (for bob the builder) – pastor – GiGi – Mimi – church – people – the list goes on, but these are a few of what we hear on a day to day basis. Now some of these words don't come out just as clear as we hoped … for example, football comes out more as a naughty word right now but it's something we are working on. And for the time being as we work on making it sound more like the real word, laugh out of sight when we hear you get excited to watch it on TV or play it outside!! Something we will always remember.
