July? Already?!

Seems like I can never keep this thing completely caught up ... but i guess having no internet at home makes that kinda hard. haha But even with internet i had a hard time - oh well. I'll try my best today - so this may be a long post. But don't feel bad if you just look at the pics ... most of the time, it's what i do anyways. :o) 

So at the end of June, we got a nice long visit from your New Jersey cousins. It was SO fun for all of us!! You LOVED spending time with "mall", "ugaboo", and "ahhh" - you're version of Small, Bugaboo, & T. :) It was fun to hear you actually call to them and to watch you all interact and play together. You loved watching Alex - no matter what he was doing. But loved to watch him play video games ... 

You also loved to play with Danica, and she loved playing with you. You'd follow her around and hollar at her if she went to fair. Very cute. 

And you and T did pretty well together too - for being close in age, there really wasn't much "fighting" but you guys did a lot of your own thing, just close to one another. haha Everyone loved water nights - time in the "hot" tub. (and i use the word "hot" loosely cuz it was more like room temp.) But all of you enjoyed the cool down from the wicked heat that was just the beginning for us ... more of that later. 

We decided to take a day and visit the Zoo. :) Which you were a seasoned Pro at. You remembered quit a lot and once again you were SO excited to feed the giraffes again!! But this time you got to share it with all your other cousins ... how blessed are we, that we got to go to the zoo twice and with both sides of the family!? 

They also took an afternoon & came to our house to play in the water with us. :) We got the hose out, filled the pool, and spent lots of time in the shade! It was turning to be quit a HOT week, so after the time out in the sun and water we all came inside to our wonderful AC house and had snack and cooled down even more. :) It was a very fun afternoon ... and you did very well sharing your toys at home with all of them. 

But when the week was over we not only had to say our goodbyes to them, but to our cute Nadia as well. She was headed to catch up with Aunt CiCi & Uncle Craig in Tennessee. They had found a place to live, and were getting settled in so her, Papa, and Uncle Steve, Aunt Em, and Keeg were all taking a road trip down with all their belongings. So we took some time on evening and let you guys play outside and say goodbye... it was probably the saddest thing i've seen for a while. Neither of you had any real idea that this was goodbye for a long time, not just a normal goodbye. And you gave one another good hugs, blew kisses and waved as we drove away. Needless to say i was filled with tears and sadness, and my heart broke a bit. You two have been so close since, well before birth and i still feel that sadness when i think about that night. But we are happy they have found a new home, and are settling into it together as a family!! And just in time for another fun cousin, Isaiah to come along!! :) We are awaiting the news on him - he has a few more weeks and we are SUPER excited to see and meet him!!

Well once we got back into a normal routine, without cousins around (which you weren't too happy about at times - and well mama wasn't either) it got HOTTER and time outside has to grow shorter. The humidity and temps mixed together and made it miserable outside. So we found some indoor things to do. :) 

You were a big helper to Daddy and helped him fix the washer. But you had to make sure you had your gear on and ready to go. It was adorable. :) 

We had another eye appt. too. It went well. We ended up having to get you new lenses but your eyes are still doing very well. :) You enjoy the vision "test" and always ask for more when she puts the think lenses in front of your eye and shines the light in. haha never thought you'd enjoy it, but you sit SO well and are so patient during it all. it's amazing!! 

My favorite days are the ones we have no appts, no errands, and can just hang out together. I can watch you grow and honestly those are your favorite days too. We can go to the park, go to Nannys, hang out at home, or maybe stay in our pjs all day. :) 

You love graham crackers ... specially at Nanny's. 

You love playing with your truck ... you came running into the kitchen on day with this fun get-up on. It made my day!! Seriously. Look at how cute you are!! Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. :) it's so fun to watch you play and work things out. 

And you still love to help me in the kitchen. Specially after the pizza is made and we can play  in the leftover flour. :) 

We did get to spend on fun, cooler evening at the beach. And i was SO bummed with myself because i left our camera(s) at HOME!!!! UGH!!! i was beyond shocked at myself. it was your first trip to the beach and i had only my camera phone to document it. so the photos aren't the greatest but they work. Honestly i didn't think it was going to go so well at first, you didn't like the hot sand and weren't so thrilled to walk around on it, but Dad took you down to the soft, water sand and the Woolfords let you borrow their sand toys - and you feel in LOVE with the beach. Dirt, water, and permission to play with both. it was heaven. :) We had to force you out cuz you were literally turning blue. It became quit overcast when we arrived and cooled down - which was nice but made it a bit chilly once you were wet. Overall it was a very successful first trip the beach and i know we'll be taking you back before the summer is over; and i'll make sure i have my nice camera that time!! haha 

I'd say so far summer has been a great success!! Lots of fun, lots of family time, and plenty of sunshine!!! :) Even our little gift is growing and enjoying summer. Monday night when Dad came home from work (it was later at night), he started talking with me about his day and the fluttering and kicking began!! :D it was incredible to feel. we are SO grateful for this time and the growth this gift has made. We are at 16 1/2 weeks - only a few more weeks till we find out if you're going to have a brother or sister!!! we're pretty excited. :) 

Well i'm sure i've missed some things, but i think it's a good update on our lives and summer fun!
