Carolina on my mind ...

Dad is back and with exciting news and prospects! As you know we've been praying about the trip he made and for the internship and ministry opportunities it held. We wanted some clarity on some questions and wanted to see if it was a good fit for our family. After lots of prayer (both from us and all our wonderful family and friends!) and Dad's super fun trip down south a few wkends ago, we can safely and clearly say “This is it! “. We are SO excited to see how God can and will use our family as we take on this year long internship with Providence Church. We will be starting up a middle school youth group, helping with their Life Groups (small bible study groups), and Dad will be taking a bible class with the church's men's leadership team. So thrilling to have some answers. There's still a lot up in the air yet, but to know this is where we are going and what we are doing; that is exciting stuff!! :)

Our tentative plan (since all this just became a yes! and a GO! about, oh this weekend!) is to still go on our mission trip to Germany in February and upon our return, pack up our things (well load up I think is the better term – hoping to have things packed and ready to go before we leave for Berlin) and move ourselves down to the great state of North Carolina. Of course I'm pretty positive that our parents will be joining in the help to move us down, if anything so our mom's have just a few more days with their grandkids.

So yay, that's the very fun and very exciting update!! We couldn't be more excited to start this adventure. And actually I've been working on it already.. working on putting together our support letters, updating and getting our contacts in order, and making little donation slips & prayer cards to put in the letters. I work on those kinda things while you nap & have dad read them later to make sure I sound clear and it looks okay. Once we feel it's ready to go, we'll have our pastors read them and then get them started. I would really love to have them out before the first of December, but we'll see how fast we can move it along! :) Until they get mailed out we are praying for wisdom as we finalize some of the details, provisions for the other “things” still left in the air (like housing), a willing spirit & servant hearts as we prepare for the coming year and how God will use us. The next four months are gonna be a whirlwind of excitement, fun, new routines, boxes, family, suitcases, boxes, preparation, travel, boxes, and change. But I know that change is for the better... it's for the growth of family's faith and for the light of the Lord to shine! So let the fun begin!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!

(ps. the photo at the top was sent to me from dad while he was away ... it's his sermon prep for the sermon he's preaching in a few weeks!! it was such a pretty pic tho, I had to share it!)
