Good News!

Here we go!! Our little gift is growing strong!!! We got all good news yesterday at the early ultrasound. :) Heart was beating good and strong, coming in at 144. And baby's movement was visible and so fun to watch. Still a little early to feel, but it calmed my nerves to see such a healthy, active kiddo in there; snuggled pretty securely in momma too. Took the nurse some time to get a good photo of the baby's whole body, but she did! And we were glad. We also got a few still shots of our gift to take home. :) We went home with smiles on our faces and a thankful heart to hear such wonderful news. And in a few more weeks we have another ultrasound at the hospital for the  midwife. How fun that'll be, to see how big and fast baby grows in the couple weeks we have.  Well I'm working on editing some photos of you and your cousins from the park today. :) You were all great models - way better then I had expected being that you've been cutting some "I" t...

Summer Sun & Water Fun

Image
Hello Sunshine!!! We are SO excited to welcome the warm weather and really hope it stinks around. The mornings start off cool and it gets nice and toasty by lunch time ... this weekend was actually hot from start to finish. The sun was out ALL day with not many clouds in the sky. It was beautiful! We took advantage of the day after nap time and spent the day outside playing with all the new toys that were given to us!! That's right, we got a load of Little Tikes Toys dropped off at our place Saturday from some distant family members and you were THRILLED and could not wait to try them out!! Dad & I took time while you were napping yesterday to hose them all off and clean 'em off real good so we could enjoy them. :) And enjoy them you did!! (well still am haha) We also took advantage of the HOT weather to break out your pool. It's not huge but enough to cool you down and let you splash BIG!! :) You LOVED it. It was cold hose water - and you kept squatting down in it...

patches, trucks, and parades

Image
Well I feel like I should catch up on our lives... I know it hasn't been all that long since my last blog, but there have been a few changes and fun times I want to make sure we remember! :) To start off, we've had to start you back on "patch time" for a 2 weeks period; 2 hours a day. And you were not a big fan of it. not. at. all. It was a hard battle at first, but with the helpful creativity of Nanny, you got to do "patch time" with Georgie! It's been a HUGE help. And you know you can't take your patch off till we say Georgie's comes off. You like to be able to put his on first and you love to take his off. We have about a half a week left, and we've seen a bit of an improvement of your lazy eye "drifting" at night, but you're still struggling. So we'll see what Monday brings... I think we may have to keep the patching up for some time, but we'll see. A few weekends ago, you had the joy of watching your fir...

Happy Birthday Lil' One

Image
Today's the day... the day I've been dreading almost more then that awful day back in October. But alas, it's here. Lil' One's Birthday (or due date). To think of what life would be like now if things went "right" - seems weird and almost wrong. But I do find my mind wandering that way at times - specially on days as special as this day. Lil' One taught us a lot - and left us with a lot as well. First and foremost, God is in control - we didn't create this miracle, God did! And it was and always will be created to bring glory to God!!! I was listening to a song recently and came to realize, that even you, milo man, were created by God for God - I mean mom & dad had something to do with it, but ultimately God wanted you here for a reason and a purpose. And that goes the same for Lil' One & our Christmas gift as well!! The lyrics just kinda got me, you know, POW!, right between the kisser. And even tho it took several months for me t...

A Precious Gift from God

Image
And then there were FOUR! Just one day after my last post we found out our family will be expanding in late December! :) And we couldn't be more thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our unconfirmed due date is December 23rd, 2012 *Our Precious Christmas Gift from God* That's the nickname till we find out in July what we are having. We've decided to share with family and close friends - and ask for prayer. Prayer for a healthy pregnancy, healthy and growing baby, and calmed nerves, especially till we get over that 10-12 week hump. Needless to say tho, we are so happy and excited. Even you, Milo Man, got in on the excitement. Running around and giggling every time we said "Baby". And still do giggle when we say it now. :) I keep telling you about your "baby sibling" growing inside me and you point to my belly button and go "SHHHhhhh" with your pointer finger to your mouth. So cute. You've learned that from being with other babies a...

Where We Need to Be ...

Image
So I'll be honest I've really be kinda blue, grumpy, and mopey lately. I can't stop thinking about Lil' One and how far along we'd be ... only a few weeks from her birthday. And I keep thinking of what our lives would be like if things were to go to my plans; and then it hit me (multiple times thru multiple messages/studies). This life isn't my plan. I have nothing to do with mapping out and organizing what happens... that's God's plan. He's in control, and as much as I keep thinking I'm letting him drive, well I'm not - or haven't been lately. Our family is just what it needs to be for this time and place we are at. Not sure what God has in store for us in the days, months, and year to come; but whatever it is it's FAR better then anything I could dream up for this family. Hebrews 11:40  "God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect."  After yesterdays message at church...

Happy Easter!

Image
Happy Easter Milo Man! It was a wonderful weekend for celebration of Christ's death and resurrection!! I'm not sure how the whole easter egg and bunny thing came around for the world... but we don't really do much with that aspect of it, except with grandparents! (of course!) :) We started Easter morning off very early with our church family @ the Northbridge Rise & Run fun run 5K. They proceeds from the race went towards our short mission trip we are looking to take in the fall to Germany. So we rose before the sun ... and you were not a happy camper about it. ha! From there we celebrated at church ... where you are always more then willing to go play in the nursery with all your pals. :) You BEG to go downstairs, pretty much from the moment we arrive. (after your donut tho! haha)  Then we had a very busy afternoon with family at Grandma&Grandpa Keith's place. We ate a delicious ham, mash potatoes, veggie and roll dinner. And after all little kids napped (and s...
